  • Drink plenty of clear fluids to help prevent dehydration, which may accompany diarrhea.

    Adults and children 12 years and over- Take two caplets after first loose bowel movement and one caplet after each subsequent loose bowel movement, but no more than four caplets a day for no more than two days.

    Children 9 to 11 years (60-95 lbs.)- Take one caplet after the first loose bowel movement and 1/2 caplet after each subsequent loose bowel movement, but no more than three caplets a day for no more than two days.

    Children 6 to 8 years (48-59 lbs.)- Take one caplet after the first loose bowel movement and 1/2 caplet after each subsequent loose bowel movement, but no more than two caplets a day for no more than two days.

    Children under 6 years old (up to 47 lbs.)- Consult a physician. Not intended for children under 6 years old.

    Active Ingredients
    (in each caplet) Loperamide Hydrochloride 2 mg (Anti-diarrheal)

    Inactive Ingredients
    Corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, crospovidone, D&C yellow #10, FD&C blue #1, hydrogenated vegetable oil, lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate, and powdered cellulose.

    Warnings

  • Do not use for more than two days unless directed by a doctor.
  • Do not use if diarrhea is accompanied by high fever (greater than 101 degrees F).
  • Do not use if blood or mucus is present in the stool.
  • Consult a doctor if you have had a rash or other allergic reaction to Loperamide HCI; are taking antibiotics or have a history of liver disease.
  • If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • In case of accidental overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

    Storage

  • Store at controlled room temperature 15 degrees - 25 degrees C (59 degrees - 77 degrees F).
  • For better identification keep caplets in carton until used.
